Eli Eban began his professional career as principal clarinetist of the Israel Radio Orchestra under Lukas Foss. He joined the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra at the invitation of Maestro Zubin Mehta, performing and recording all the major orchestral repertoire under Claudio Abbado, Leonard Bernstein, Christoph von Dohnanyi, Christoph Eschenbach, Kurt Masur, Lorin Maazel, Sir Georg Solti, and other internationally renowned conductors.
